WHY TVA NEEM COMB?
Difference Between Raw & Oil Treated Neem Combs
Once the Raw Neem Combs are manufactured from the neem wood, they can then either be sold as it is, or they are treated with one or more oils. In our case, we treat the neem wood combs with a mix of 4 Oils and 16 Herbs.
This gives a smooth texture to the comb and a ton of other benefits.
Why Should Neem Combs be Oil Treated?
The oil treatment enhances the comb's durability, making it resistant to cracking and breaking. The oil also imparts a smooth finish to the comb, reducing friction and preventing hair breakage. Additionally, the oils contribute to the overall health of your hair and scalp.
The oil treatment not only improves the comb's structural integrity but also ensures that the comb releases neem's natural properties gradually, promoting healthier hair and a healthier scalp. So, in essence, an oil-treated neem comb provides a more holistic and long-lasting solution for your hair care needs compared to its raw counterpart.
How & What Oils do we Treat our Neem Combs with?
The process starts from selecting the best neem wood for our combs, only the oil rich wood makes the cut.
Next, we prepare the Oil by adding the perfect blend of 4 Oils (such as Neem & Onion Seed Oil) and 16 Herbs (including Henna, Indigo, Methi Dana and Curry leaves). This mixture is allowed to sit for atleast 48 hours so that all the essence of the herbs seeps into the oil. The herbs are then strained out.
Next the Neem combs are dipped in this oil for 5 days, so that the porous grains of the neem wood soak in as much oil as possible.
They are then dried, excess oil is removed, and packed for your use!
