Methi Yogurt Strengthening Mask

Step-by-Step

  1. In a glass or ceramic bowl (not metal), combine 2 tbsp Methi (Fenugreek) Powder and 1 tbsp Bhringraj Powder. Whisk dry powders together.
  2. Add 4 tbsp plain yogurt and 1 tbsp raw honey. Stir into a smooth, thick paste with the consistency of cake batter.
  3. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to thicken — Methi powder swells significantly as it absorbs liquid.
  4. If too thick after 10 minutes, add a splash of water; if too thin, add a touch more methi powder.
  5. Section your hair. Apply with fingertips first to scalp, then work through the lengths and ends.
  6. Cover with a shower cap. Leave on for 40 minutes — do not let it fully dry on the scalp.
  7. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water (this can take 2-3 minutes of patient massaging). Follow with a mild shampoo.
  8. Skip conditioner; the yogurt has already conditioned.
  9. Frequency: Once a week for stronger hair and reduced fall. Visible thickness gain in 6-8 weeks.
  10. Storage: Premix dry powders in a glass jar (lasts 2 months). Mix with wet ingredients fresh each use.

Pro Tips

Slightly sticky consistency is normal. Use weekly. If yogurt feels too cold, warm slightly before mixing.
