What You'll Need

Step-by-Step

  1. Set up a double boiler. Add 2 tbsp Beeswax Pellets to the heatproof bowl. Melt slowly until fully liquid (about 4-5 minutes).
  2. Add 2 tbsp Shea Butter and 2 tbsp Virgin Coconut Oil. Stir gently until everything is melted and uniform.
  3. Remove from heat. Let cool for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in 5 drops Vitamin-E Oil.
  5. If using: add 10 drops peppermint essential oil for a cooling tingle. Stir gently.
  6. Working quickly before the mixture sets, pour into 6-8 lip balm tubes or small tins. Tap gently to release air bubbles.
  7. Let set at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  8. To use: Apply to clean lips. This classic clear formula is intensely moisturizing — the Beeswax creates a protective barrier while Shea and Coconut deeply nourish.
  9. Frequency: Apply throughout the day, especially before bed.
  10. Storage: Cool dry place. Shelf life: 1 year — Beeswax-based balms have exceptional longevity.

Pro Tips

If too firm, add more coconut oil next batch. If too soft, add more beeswax. Lasts 12-18 months.
